Pedagogical tools for developing a project

A project-focused curriculum requires a range of pedagogical tools which allow growth and development within a specific topic. These tools guide and support teachers to engage with children within the project, and support the blossoming of ideas and the growth of the project itself.

Jacqui Lee and her teaching team at Pakuranga Baptist Kindergarten describe a range of specific pedagogical tools they use to support children to examine their ideas deeply. These include the ‘relaunching’ of children’s ideas, and the use of technology as a transitional tool.
