Working as a team is one of the most important elements of a healthy and harmonious early childhood centre. As part of a team, both teachers and children influence, and are influenced by, the actions, reactions, and energy of those around them.

Ripeka and the team at Kids’ Domain discuss how they use the concept of a conscious collective to bring together teachers, children, and whānau as a supportive team. By being intentionally aware of their own and others’ needs, priorities, and focus, the teachers at Kids’ Domain create a harmonious, collaborative, and nurturing culture that protects teacher wellbeing and promotes children’s learning and engagement.
