Inquiry based planning and curriculum design

Inquiry based planning and curriculum design

An inquiry-based approach to learning and curriculum design focuses on how the teachers can engage in research and inquiry with and alongside children. This style of planning begins by reflecting on the children’s interests and finding an open, broad question which can guide and build curriculum development and exploration.

The team at Kids’ Domain discuss a range of key tools they use to engage and ignite their inquiry-based planning and curriculum design model. From starting with a question, engaging with the arts, and prioritising high quality documentation, inquiry is at the core of what the teachers do at Kids’ Domain.
