Engaging with technology

Engaging with technology

Technology is an ever-growing part of children’s lives. It is embedded in their routines and activities at home and in the community, and how teachers engage with technology within early childhood education can be a hot topic for debate!

Marguerite from Kids’ Domain discusses how they engage with technology by recognising it as another language for children to explore and use to express themselves. She discusses how they support children to use iPads to have agency over documenting their own learning and achievements. They also describe how they amplify children’s interests by projecting images onto the wall in their construction zone.
