Teaching children to read and write

COMING UP: 7.30PM WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10

This webinar will explore the theory and practice of teaching children to read and write. Dr Christine Braid (leader of Literacy@Massey) is an expert in early literacy and will be sharing her vast knowledge and expertise around the processes involved in learning to read and write and what this means for teachers’ classroom practice.

The webinar will also discuss a new resource from The Education Hub, which Christine has co-developed, in which we have worked with five primary schools across New Zealand to capture examples of how the principles of effective literacy instruction in early primary school can be enacted in the classroom.

Please join us for this informative and interactive session. As always, there will be opportunities to ask questions.

A recording of this webinar will be posted on this page after the session. Make sure you’re registered on this website to use the Bookmark function to make it easier to find this page again.
