The use of Comparative Judgement has supported teacher Jeanette Breen to explore what is more important for students to learn in their writing journey from primary to secondary school. This webinar discusses the use of No More Marking’s Comparative Judgement approach to assessing writing using teacher holistic judgements and how it led one teacher and school to identify the range of issues students face when working to improve their writing.

During this webinar, you will have the opportunity to trial the Comparative Judgement process, and will hear about how a school has utilised this form of assessment to change its approach to writing instruction. The discussion also explores specific lesson examples that adopt an explicit approach to writing instruction, which have positively impacted students’ writing.

Jeanette Breen is an experienced education practitioner from Victoria, Australia. She joining UK based company No More Marking in 2022, and she shares her time between her teaching role at Templestowe Heights Primary School in Australia and working with schools using the powerful data from the Australian Comparative Judgement projects.
